The K-Zone: Biophysical data tables
This section of my Web site contains tables of biophysical and
medical measurements that I collated during the time I worked in
that field. I present them here in the hope that they may be useful
to other researchers. As always, I have done my best to make sure
that everything is accurate, but I won't accept any responsibility for
adverse consequences that may arise if not. In addition, please note
the following points.
-
The data are drawn from a variety of sources which I believe to
be authoratative. However, I can't be absolutely certain that this is that case.
-
All values are averages or ranges. Unless otherwise
stated, they are for an adult subject, either male or female. Where there
is a significant difference between male and female values, the text
should indicate this.
-
Because Web browsers don't always render non-English characters in a
predictable way, I have used the letter `u' as an abbreviation for
`micro' throughout, where the Greek `mu' would be more strictly
accurate.
