The K-Zone: European Council

The European Council - which met for the first time in 1975 - is a summit meeting of the heads of government of the members states of the Community, and sets broad policy objectives for the Community. These days it meets about twice a year. Despite the similar names, the European Council is not connected with the CouncilOfEurope, and only losely with the CouncilOfTheEU.
