The K-Zone: injunction

An order of a court that someone should desist from doing something. A court has the discretion to issue an injunction (as opposed to, for example, damages, which may be stipulated by common law) where the case warrants it. Breaking an injunction puts one in contempt of court and, in principle, liable to imprisonment.
