Experimental design: summary

Summary

Experiments should be designed to produce accurate results that can be generalized

To do this, attention has to be paid to a number of subtle experimental issues, like sample size, bias and testability

A standard model of experimental methodology exists which, if employed, provides a framework within which these issues can be worked out
