discharge
Last modified: Thu Feb 23 16:37:37 2006
To be discharged of an offence means that a case is never
heard by a court. For example, the court may rule that the
prosecution have not established a prima facie
case to answer. A discharge is not an Acquital, and the
defendant can, in principle, be tried again.
