Fair use of law.web-tomorrow.com

Last modified: Thu Feb 23 16:37:37 2006

I provide this service free-of-charge in the hope that it will prove useful. I don't expect much in the way of reward, but it disheartens me when the service is abused.

As a result, I request that users abide by a few simple rules. If these rules are consistently broken, I will shut down the service, as I don't have time to maintain the hardware or software, nor money to buy a new Web server if this one blows up.

  • Please do not try to copy the whole site. This puts a huge load on the server, and spoils it for everyone else. I now block access to any computer that I detect running site mirroring or copying software.
  • Please do not point any kind of software other than a Web browser at this site, particularly web crawlers or other robots. These tools don't know not to activate the `delete' or `edit' link. Incorrectly configured crawlers could wipe out the whole site.
  • If the server appears slow to respond, please give it time before hitting the `refresh' button on your browser. At busy periods it can take up to ten seconds to respond; to avoid this problem, please try to use it outside of peak times (midday until 2pm, UK time). If you hit the refresh button while the server is still busy, it puts even more load on it.
  • Please do not e-mail me about spelling and grammar mistakes -- click the `edit' button and correct them yourself.
