Hudson v Ridge Manufacturing (1957)
Last modified: Thu Feb 23 16:37:37 2006
[1957] 2 QB 348 (CA). The claimant suffered an injury during agressive horseplay
initiated by a fellow employee. His action against the employer for failing
to provide competent co-workers (see EmployersLiability) succeeded:
the employers were aware of the culprit's behaviour, and had not
taken adequate steps to prevent it. See, in contrast, SmithVCrossleyBros1951.
