Registrar

The Registrar of a court is its administrator, and responsible for its
day-to-day running. The Registrar must be a solicitor with 7 years' standing.
Registrars may hear deals with certain cases, such as small claims. They are
appointed by the LordChancellor. Registrars
are now more properly referred to by the title `DistrictJudge',
as are stipendiary magistrates with who they share compatible qualifications
and experience.
